Okay. I was wondering what the probability of me having a broody flock was. I currently have and am expecting

-2 phoenix hens
-1 modern game hen
-1 partridge rock hen
-1 partridge rock Cochin hen
-1 turkin hen
-6 assorted polish hens
-2 gold laced Wyandotte hens
-1 black australorp hen
-1 aurucana hen
-1 light brahma hen
-1 buff brahma hen (bantam)
-1 gold laced Cochin hen (bantam)
-1 silver laced Wyandotte hen
-1 gold sex link hen
-1 splash bantam of some sort
- and several roosters

So when these chicks grow up will I have enough broody hens to maintain my flock so I don't have to buy anymore.

Buy an incubator and it won't matter if they are broody or not! I don't everything about every breed but at least some of those will go broody. I hope that helps!

Phoenix, Game, Cochins, Wyandottes, Austrolorps, Turken- I'd say there's a good chance someone will want babies. My Cochins are perpetually broody (I have bantams now, but my LF were the same). I have an incubator, but hardly ever use it. So much easier to let a hen do all the work!
