They are on day 5 but I need more room. I don't want to hinder them by doing so though.
Will it hurt to take eggs out of the turner and hand turn instead?

It won't matter. If you want to load it up, just tilt the whole incubator from side to side. You don't even need to touch the eggs. Hatch on!
