Will light around outside of coop deter predators?

See from reading previous responses regarding motion solar lights.. My goal is to have all the fox gone. Not by scaring them, but by alerting me to open the back window and aim. The raccoons and opossums I have trapped no issue. They are not bright at all and will always show up for an old egg or cat food. My plan is (since the coop is not far off from the barn and close to my bedroom window..) to just keep my curtains open enough to see that light come on. I am up late often anyway :D

Also - where I live it is perfectly legal to do these things and protect crops or livestock that is being eaten. Raiding my coop counts ;)
