will medicated feed be ok for mama hen?

Last spring i purchased 9 peeps and raised them on medicated starter feed.and i will say i suffered no losses.i have a broody that's schedule to hatch on Wednesday.will the medicated feed be OK for her as well.any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The medicated starter will not hurt mom. Are you letting her raise them with the rest of the flock?

no.they have their own little protected area.with chicken wire separating them.

Just curious if you were letting her raise them with the rest of the flock. If they are separated giving them medicated is fine. When you do put them together you can use a grower for all the flock and a calcium supplement on the side for the layers. My last broody raised hers with the flock in the fall and the feed store didn't have starter then, so I used grower from the start.
