Will mice bother baby chicks?

Years ago when my grandparents had a egg farm (approx. 1500 hens) on a few occasions we actually witnessed rats ganging up on a hen. These were rats not mice. Got me to thinking about my 2 day old peeps in my shop. They are in a brooder safe from anything large but I have had mice in the shop . I suppose they could get in the brooder to eat the feed but has anyone ever heard of mice bothering young chicks!!

Mice are omnivores so they might try to eat the chicks. I know someone who had mice and rats eat some of their full grown chickens alive while they where sleeping!
