Will my broody Silkie sit on any breed of fertilized egg?

Thanks so much Teila and everyone. I ADORE my silkies . I have purchased 6 fertilized eggs that should arrive tomorrow, so my lovely Miriam will soon have her eggs to hatch .

If I end up with roosters do I sell them? Are they difficult to get rid of?

Not usually, but don't expect an instant sell. It took us 8 months once to sell a rooster (but he went to a wonderful home in the end!) and 2 weeks to sell another (also a great home!) You can post them up on facebook in various facebook groups, or on craigslist, or make a flyer at your local feedstore!
