Will my Buff lay soon?

So as you can imagine my Buff is very shy and is frightened easily, but I have had her for about 3 months now and she still has not layed, but recently I have noticed her getting in and out of the nesting area but only when the rooster is up there with her, she kicks around lays down and then she gets down when the rooster does. And I do know she is not laying for a fact.

I see that behavior a lot right before a young layer starts up. The rooster tries to show her a good spot. Since she's going in the boxes she isn't afraid to. I would keep some fake ceramic eggs in the boxes to help show her it's a safe place, otherwise when she finally lays she may pick a different spot.

This is a great article that gives you some insight into whether or not your chicken is getting ready to lay.

I also noticed with my girls that the ones who were getting ready to lay would start to submit to mating a week or 2 before they started laying. Those who weren't ready would run away screaming if the boys started showing interest in them.

Thank you I have been very excited for her to lay, she is 1 of 3 others who are very close to laying and I dont think I will need fake eggs I normally have real eggs in the nest all day waiting for the rest to lay before I pick them up.

honestly, I have had chickens for years, and each time, I anxiously await the new pullets eggs, it is such a fun hobby!
I just started this year and I agree, its just so simple I have one I raised from a chick that I bought from someone that was dying and it is fully grown Americauna hen she is laying now and still jumps on my shoulder.:)
