I don't like to keep my chickens cooped up more than necessary. And this week is full of rain! Today it's 62° and light rain ALL day. Will they be ok out in the rain? Should I be concerned about sickness or anything?
Thanks in advance!

They will be fine as long as they have a place to shelter if they want it, and the winds aren't severe.

My chickens happily play in the rain all the time (we average 59" per year of rainfall), my temps range from high 20s to near 100, and they have willingly played out in rain at 45, 50 degrees when there wasn't much wind. As the wind's pick up (15-20 solid, gusting higher) they will want shelter, since winds that high prevent their feathers from working as excellent down blankets.

How old are they, in weeks or months?
Do you have a run or just free range?
Good if they have some shelter other than the coop.
Fully feathered birds should be fine at the temp.
The outer feathers shed most the wet, and they stay dry at the skin level.
Lot of bugs to be had in the rain.
They're about a year & a half old
