Will my chickens be safe?

Those are suggested space requirements. Chickens without enough space can develop some bad habits like feather picking and bullying. Your best bet it to watch and get to know your birds. Will you have predators? It's possible. Everything likes chicken. Make sure your coop and run are as secure as possible, and you can reduce your chances of predator loss. I wouldn't ever say a coop or run is 100% secure, because some predators can find the smallest opening and that's all they need.

Since I don't have as much space as I would like to have and I want to keep cost kinda low I was going to build like a coop tractor combination. The coop will be on top of the run like some of the designs in the coop page on BYC and it will have all the features of a coop except it will be movable . Do you think that will work ?
Sounds good! You may want to do what flying-lowe did, wrap completely in hardware cloth. That way chickens can't dig out & nothing can dig in. You could toss in hay or shaving on the floor so chickens have something to dig through. Believe me they LOVE to dig.

I have only ever had an issue with predators while free ranging. My coop is a wooden shed we turned into a coop and our run is covered in hardware cloth with cement pavers wrapped around that. Nothing has ever gotten into my run or coop but January 1st i did lose my dominqiue hen to a coopers hawk. Hawks are the number 1 predators for me and they are very smart. While free ranging no matter what you do or how close you are always remember you can lose a bird. That is a risk you take with free ranging.
