Hello! So I currently have 25 chicks in a water trough in my LIVINGROOM and while we LOVE watching them, I would like my house back. The chicks are roughly 2 weeks old (based on them having 90% of their wing feathers and their tail feathers starting). I would like to move them into the garage where I was thinking of building a bit larger brooding box.
I live in the northern Midwest so April's can be 20s-60s depending on the HOUR. my garage is insulated but not air tight so it does seem to stay chilly in there. Probably mid 30s to 40s.
Will my chicks be OK in there with the heat light?
