We think it's a neighborhood stray cat or fox maybe a coon

If you don't have the top of your pen covered and secured that is another way for predators to get in. Hardware cloth is about the only deterrent there is for keeping out birds safe.

Yeah we gave it covered and everything but something dug under it and got the duck so we lock the chickens and the duck in the hen house at night

You can also make a skirt around your pen put hardware cloth attached to the sides and down to the ground about 2' out from the pen all the way around. or heavy landscaping timbers cement blocks large rocks anything around the outside of the pen will keep predators from digging in.
