Will my eggs get any bigger?

We have 4 black Australorps, and 2 silver laced Wyandottes. They are 5 months old, and we get about 3 eggs /day. We occasionally get a "normal" sized egg, 2 have even been double yolks, but mostly they are just very small eggs. Will they get bigger over time? Or will they always be small?

Hi - This is similar to what we have been getting. How long have these chickens been laying?

We have 4 Barred Rocks, 21 weeks, been laying for 3 weeks (most for 2 week) and the eggs have gotten a bit bigger over time in general. We have had two huge "goose-eggs" (and 3 double yokers). But mainly they are medium-sized uniform eggs now. Colours are becoming more similar (some where really dark and others really light). We have been getting mostly 3 eggs and occasionally 4 per day.

Their eggs will be the largest next year, so don't worry about the young ladies!
