will my flock having lice afect them in any way

i noticed that one of my hens has lice so that usually means they all have it i will treat it but does it have any affect on them???

Yes the itching drives them crazy and they get no rest.

i really don't see them scratching that much though and there bright and happy

They are masters of looking like they are not ill or tired- it is a protection from predators. By the time a chicken looks ill they are in great danger.
