Has anyone seen Turner & Hooch. The stakeout scene when they're sitting in the car and he remarks how it looks like Hooch has swallowed a shoe and the strings are hanging out of his mouth, that's daily.
Or how about this, who else has a burping dog? I've never known any dog that burps like these 2.
I just love it when they come over to say hi and blam a big 'ol buurrrp in your face!! Such great manners! Though I guess it's not their fault they really were born in a barn.

I wouldn't do that. Pyrs bark all night. (I have a group of them, and they ALL bark ALL night) It is just instinct as part of their guarding skills. If you don't want a barking dog, then you don't want a pyr. That's like trying to discipline a duck not to swim or a child not to play. You shouldn't try to stop normal behavior. This simply might not be the breed for you. You may need to rehome this dog,and get a quieter breed if the barking bothers you. But don't punish him for doing his job. That is just mean.

EXACTLY! That's why researching a breed is a really good idea BEFORE the adoption!
