Will my hens feathers regrow?

We had two enthusiastic roosters and they pulled the feathers off of 3 of our Barred Rock hens. We butchered one and kept the quieter rooster. We also added ALOT more hens to the flock. Will the feathers regrow and if so when? I was thinking they would molt before winter and the feathers would grow back in then, so far this hasn't happened and I just think of how cold it is going to be with no feathers on there backs.

What can I do to get them to regrow?

I had one lose feather over its entire chest and they grew back in a couple of weeks so yours should be ok. just watch and make sure no one else is pecking them on the back.

I feed mine Kitten Chow about 3 times a week during molt. It is high in protein and helps in the regrowth of the feathers. Chicken feathers are made mostly of protein and the little extra in their feed helps promote regrowth.

They should grow back just fine. You might want to consider making some saddles for them in the mean time.
