Will my mallards ever befriend my Muscovy and Wood Duck?

My rescued Mallards were 3 weeks when I introduced them to a newly hatched Wood Duck. They were Not welcoming and chased and pecked at the tiny little guy. I acquired 2 newly hatched Muscovy to keep him company. I want all to get along so eventually they can roam freely.

To this extent, I divided the large duck house (secured at night to keep predators out) into 2 parts separated with chicken wire. I had hopes that in keeping them together might force my Mallards to accept the younger ducklings. However, my mallards are just irritated by them and peck at wire when they get close. They also avoid retreating to the house just to rest or avoid weather, I have to bait then in with food at night.

Is there any chance of friendship or at least civility between them?

It takes time for introductions so just keep with what your doing letting them live side by side for now. Eventually let them be together and toss some treats down like Meal worms they are a big hit here. Giving them something to do can keep them from going after the others. Patience is the key here.

Many thanks for the confirmation! I'm just "winging" it.
I have Muscovy's Buffs and Runners all living together. They have no problems with each other but they do stay with their own. My Muscovy's and My Runners and Buffs each have their own clan as I call it. but get along fine.

Yep winging it is the truth!!
