Will my pullets need to be trained to lay in nesting boxes?

I have a bunch of RIR pullets that should start laying at the end of this month-beginning of next. Today, I heard EGG SONGS!

I have 9 trap nests in the coop, but all my birds are free range. It's also a new coop, so everyone is still settling in. Will I need to train them to lay in the nests, or what? If so, how?
Thank you!

You could try putting golf balls or plastic eggs in the nest boxes. You might want to leave them in the coop until they lay their eggs. That way you don't find them all over the yard. As for the rest, they should know what to do.
