Will my roo EVER have wattles???

This is my 6 week old EE roo. He just has this black fuzz under his head where the wattles are supposed to be. My BO hens already have some wattles growing in.

No. EE's generally do not have wattles if they are bearded.

As I understand it, the gene that causes bearding also reduces wattle size. On my EE boy, I can see a bit of red where wattles would be if he had them on his sweet, puffy face

My Ameraucana Roo does not have a wattle, although he does have too much a comb for show. At any rate, he is the sweetest Rooster and our hens love him! He has a very gentle touch
