I ended up getting a cream legbar mix roo and I was planning on keeping him so I could have a self sustaining flock. He's 8 week old now and anytime he goes to peck at a treat he misses. Is this something his chicks will inherent or is it a fluke?

I know I shouldn't, he was just so pretty and sweet. Plus his babies would've laid pretty eggs. Thanks for the push in the right direction. I'm still bummed.

If you're anywhere close to So Oregon, I've got blue barred and splash barred roosters that carry blue egg genes, I'd sure hook you up.

Thank you so much, but I live in Spokane, that's in Eastern Washington.

I'm sorry about your roo. I would be bummed too. I have a friend in eastern Washington close to Spokane with a couple sweet sultan Roos that could use a home. Just a thought.

Thanks for the offer. I think I'll wait though, maybe during the spring when my girls go broody. This is my first run with chickens and I never thought I would get so attached. I've had 2 girls turn out to be boys and then when i decide to keep a boy he has a defect. Lameness.
