I'm so proud! My little rooster, Lil Bit finally crowed today. Well, if you can call it a crow. Bless his heart!

He's so precious. He's so good to the girls. Stands back and lets them eat, unless they're getting sunflower seeds. Then it's every chicken for themselves. lol

My silkie roo just started crowing about a week ago and you would think I was crazy calling everyone to tell them , but I know the feeling of hearing that first one:)

My little man has finally found his voice! But I'm a little surprised because he's not that loud. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. He's been crowing less that a week. Will he get louder? Please tell me he won't!

Do their crows have a peak loudness that, when they get older, quiets down?

If so, about how old? Do they go through a maturity like that?

I have a 23 week old HUGE Jersey Giant roo who crows lots -just wondering if the sound will change any more...
