I agree your mature hens are going to be way more of a threat to the littles than the rooster. My roosters are protective of chicks, mature hens can be fatal.

I have heard that to introduce your chicks, you can use a laundry basket, or other baskets with holes, to put your young chicks in with the flock. Start this method earlier on in the chicks life, right when they are old enough to explore outside a little, and they are alright with the temperature. They can spend most of the day getting used to the flock, and the conditions outside. Then you bring them back in to their brooder. You can continue doing this every day, until they are ready to finally go in with the flock. Good luck! I hope that whichever method you chose works out good!

Roosters won’t kill them. Be worried about the hens!
