Will my two ducks welcome or become friends with two more ducks?

I hope your ducks are all doing well. Not all of your ducks are the same subspecies. Muscovies do not speak the same language as your other ducks. Most domestic ducks were derived from mallards, but Muscovies were not. When I had Muscovies they were more likely to hang out with the chickens than they were to hang out with mallard deprived ducks. I find it interesting that Tod and Douglas seemed more bonded than Douglas and Carol.
As far as if Tod and your new ducks will bond, only time will tell since mallards naturally break into breeding pairs in early spring, but flock up in the fall. In small domestic flocks ducks tend to flock up all year, but in some flocks with multiple drakes a breeding pair may go their own way all year long. This is more likely to happen when the ducks were not raised together.
With only 3 mallard derived ducks I would guess them to form a bonded treo. Carol will likely continue to do her own thing.
