Speckledhen, I must agree with you wholeheartedly. I love BYC and have a lot of respect for the wealth of information on the site. I learned everything from you guys and couldn't have started and sustained my flock without it. 
Lately I have hesitated to post or reply to things because it seems like there is an increase in sarcastic, mean spirited and belittling comments.
Keeping chickens has been a refuge and source of happiness me and some of the comments are a real downer!
