Something got into my pen and killed my quail. The chukar are fine. The quails' heads were chewed off. Would rats do this? It has to have been something small. I thought maybe a mink or weasel would be possible, too, but it seems like they would've done more damage? Not sure, though. I keep them at my parents' house. At my house, the dogs keep most land predators away.
Yes, rats kill quail.
