Will silkies hatch peacock eggs

thanks i thought if you put the egg with the level of hay in the box she could sit comfotably on the egg and cover the egg but will she raise it as her own since it will grow5 to 7 times larger than her.

My silkies are hatching goose eggs so i do not see why they could not hatch peafowl eggs.

Just a little info for you
I learned Peacocks are male and the females are called Peahens.

I've seen a tiny bantam brood and raise a pair of peafowl, even trying to cover the near adult chicks when they were huge compared to her! She was a great Mom to her giant babies.

not sure most people put them under chickens for first week or 2 then put them in bator peafowl eggs take 28 days to hatch so not sure if after 23-24 days the chicken would get off them or not. try to post this in the peafowl section.

I use chickens to hatch any kind of egg.. it does not matter how long it takes the egg to hatch, a good hen will stay with it..

for what they can cover,,, take ten of the chicken's eggs and match the area with the other eggs you want her to set on..

I have used them to hatch ducks and geese and guinea eggs so I would think you could I have peafowl but my hens hatch there own...good luck
