Hi all. We are a small farm located in Georgia. I have a problem with our goose, Herman. He is an African Gray and is about 18 months old. We noticed about 2 weeks ago that his left side of his face was swollen, and his nasal cavity is inflammed on the left side as well. So bad that its coming out through his nose. We immediately researched and found we could give him duramycin in his drinking water. We have been administering for the full two weeks and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Can someone reccomend something to help him? It seems like it is a severe sinus infection.... But, you tell me. Thanks so much, Magnolia Bell Farms

I have tried that. The problem is, I haven't found a "goose savvy" vet around here... :(
That's why I was hoping someone could help...

Just recently some one was on here with her gander having issues similar to your gooses She put Oxine ah in the bucket the goose used for head washing and also in his pool and he got better pretty quick. also try putting some unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar into his bucket till you can get the Oxine I had to order mine on line the oxine that is and if you decide to get some don't get the citric acid to mix with it because that can't be used with animals.

2-3 Tablespoons to 1 gallon of fresh water daily. But I am not saying this will cure his sinus infection but ACV has antibiotic proprieties. So it may help. make sure this is the only drinking water he has so he uses it only.
