One dog is also fond of snuffling and long, noisy breathing at the bottoms of closed doors when I'm on the other side. Usually, I just let them follow me where ever I go. Otherwise I feel guilty.

I have alway felt it was because that I needed to be supervised with any activity including going to the bathroom, and that the animals were just taking their job very seriously.

The Boy under the dog is 6'3". The dog is no longer able to get up into our laps due to age. But God forbid if someone sits on his side of the sofa.
 
This is why the basement is OFF LIMITS to any and all pets. They are glued to us nearly as soon as we open the door and step out to the 'pet floor', lol.
