I currently have a broody duck [muscovy] and her eggs are infertile. She's been broody for about 1 1/2 weeks now. I was thinking since I got 15 baby muscovys in the mail today, do you think she would adopt them?

I put one in there with her, after feeling the pain that her beak was giving me, and she wasn't mean to it at all, and it snuggled up to her after about 15 minutes, do you think she will adopt it?

I was thinking about tonight, pulling the eggs out and putting ducklings in, making her think they hatched.

Do you think this would work? I don't want to see her sit on another nest for 2 1/2 months again.

Has anyone ever tried this, or done it?

I put one in there and left it in there for about 3-4 hours,
everything was going smooth.

so since it's dark now, i put 3 or 4 more in there with her and took out the eggs, hopefully by morning they will be imprinted on her.

I hope she thinks this is how eggs hatch, lol.
