Will the government take away your chickens?

I am just grinning at the thought of someone coming in and taking my Snowflake rooster--they would have their hands FULL!! He is mean, aggressive and bites, kicks, spurs. It would be a pretty funny scene actually...LOL!

well, of course you would be held liable for any injuries, but the fact is they'd just shoot any problem chickens, it's not about them having them. it's about you NOT having them.
It's all about obedience and compliance.

i don't believe the government will come after chickens any time soon, they're too busy trying to take our other freedoms.

Edit: like my right to bear arms, that way when they DO take our chickens, it's a hell of a lot easier. ;)

If you read the chicken ordinance thread local governments have already been doing this for decades. Despite the second amendment talk, I'll wager dollars to doughnuts that no one on this board (and very few people in the entire country) is willing to shoot a police officer to prevent them from confiscating his or her chickens.

Off to do a web search on shootout and chickens to try to prove myself wrong...

Sad thought is they would just shoot him and cook him up.

What I get from the law is that anyone claiming to work for the government will be able to come and take all that you have for the good of the people/country.Sadly the chances of it GOING to the people are unlikely. It would probably feed the government people first. They take your supplies, food, and guns then toss you into a camp where you might get half a cup of cooked rice a day.

It is frustrating that people making it on their own will not be left alone. You will be forced into camps whether you like it or not.I hope it never comes to that.

Without getting in to hysterics... The fed is pushing the bounders of the Constitution hard. States have already been talking about seceding. Add that to the expectation of a very interesting national convention coming up. If you dont normally keep up, its time to start.
