Will the rain EVER stop? !!!!!!!

It has rained everyday for a week. And I'm not talking about a few sprinkles. I usually LOVE the rain. But enough already. I can hardly get in and out of my yard. I have to park in the grass and my truck is tearing the snot out of the yard. DH is fussing up a storm, no pun intended. My goats are miserable. My chickens don't seem to give a rats butt. DS still has cross country practice everyday and I'm sick of dealing with wet shoes and clothes.

Now I hear a rumble of thunder. So add to this, the dog freaking out! And yes, I'm glad Lanier is filling up, even though I don't use it.

Mine woke me up about 3am bouncing off the side of the bed ~ it thundered so loud, it felt like the house shook. I had to put him in the bed with us.

I hear you on the rain. Fortunately I live on a hill, so my house, garage and chicken coop/shed will never actaully flood (unless my neighbors are just about completely underwater), but we have had more than enough. I have been leaving the chickens loose in the backyard as sometimes the rain comes down so fast and hard that their pen will start to fill up with standing water quicker than it can drain away (just to the height of the 2x4 bottom rail). The chickens have been having a party digging for worms but at this point, most of the worms are flooded into puddles and drowned

I haven't had to fill the dog water bucket in a week and it is overflowing. Not bad for 3 dogs and only 1 bucket. Argh.

I ironed a dozen shirts, had to give up when my pinched nerve started screaming. Still no dent in the basket. I shouldn't be on the computer with it either. I am getting crabby. the mold count is so high i expect to have an attack any moment. Did I mention I'm getting crabby? THe poor hens, moved the tractor again today to fresh grass, only 3 eggs instead of 5 usual. If not better by 3pm, I'll *gasp* have to take the sudophed!
