Will these ducks ever go broody?

Glad to help in any way! Thanks for tagging me! I remember Skipper!! Which one is he in the pictures above? (is he a he?)
My youngens are just mating, but I have yet to see an egg. Apparently I ended up with 3 males and only 1 female

I'm not sure about gender yet. I so wish Giliigan had made it. Skipper is an Ancona Duck and can be found most of the time with the geese because that is where skipper has been since moved outside. In this pic she's with her duck buddy before the raccoon stole him and my other gosling. Since I got the pigs the raccoon hasn't come back. Or none have gone missing since they stay closer to the house all the time now.
Tomorrow I am going to clean and set up the bator and see what comes from the eggs.
The lavenders are Orphington's also. I think their beautiful and wish more had hatched and that the other half one the ones I had didn't get napped by the raccoon either. That raccoon stole more than 2/3 of my flock. But I do have some beautiful ones left. And I think (but not sure) a lot of them are roos. lol

I would collect them untill you see them sitting on them.. It sounds like they just started laying.. Have you checked the egg's to see if they are fertile?? Don't waste the egg's & let them sit out.. If you don't want to eat them, cook them & feed them back to your flock..
As for the chicken laying in the feeder put a top on the container so she can't get in.. They do find the weirdest places to lay.. Here is a photo of blondie in a pot we put out with leaf debris so they could dig for bug's.. But nope, they love laying egg's in there so we put a used feed bag on top..

I never thought of that I did put two old dresser drawers out here filled with shavings but even though I moved an egg to it she has yet to actually lay one in there.
I had one lay her egg onto of the greenhouse. I don't think I need to explain how that ended. lol
Thank you @WVduckchick for helping. And tagging others to help also. That was awesome.
I think I will do the float test to check freshness since the ducks move them around all the time. I admit I have moved them a couple times myself. Just trying to redo the nest.

Get some fake egg's when moving them around.. You don't want them breaking them and possibly eating them..

Also the ducklings I got from the feed store in mid February and they been mating for about 3 weeks now. Scooby Daphne and Fred that is. Skipper I hatched myself in April along with the goslings. And a couple lavender chicks I have left.

The lavenders sleep every night on the patio in my patio chair. Lol

Awe, how sweet.. Have you posted on the duck thread?

Do you have a good guard dog!! Raccoon's are nasty

Sorry to hear of your raccoon problem. I recently had 2 raccoons getting into my duck pen, eating their feed, but I trapped them and sent them away. They didn't get any of the ducks, but I'm sure they would have eventually. I keep a trap set outside the fence but haven't seen any more.
And I also remember Gilligan! Tough loss there. Sweet that Skipper hangs with the goslings. I dont know what your little black chick is, but its lovely!

I hatched 10 LOs and they are now 15 weeks. 3 are male so I believe I will have to get rid of 2 soon. I have a bantam cochin couple also and 3 polish. Getting a new incubator next week and working on Sebright eggs to set next week!

I have three things to say:
If you don't want any ducklings, take the eggs out as soon as possible,
Khaki Campbells aren't usually broody and
if you want ducklings, wait max 28 days. At least one of the ducklings should have hatched.

They are beautiful and that's a nice set up you have there. I miss chatting it out with all of you. So I will keep up here more often.

My khaki last year was quite broody but she didn't hatch any since there was no male. She even went and collected the chicken eggs and sat on them. But these two just aren't. I am not sure if scooby is a male or a female yet since I haven't actually seen them laying just find extra eggs.
I am going to take them out do the float test for freshness today after work and put them in the bator.
