I have 4 potluck bantam eggs in the incubator, usually do this at nursery but nursery is shut due to Covid-19 so I am doing it from home and sending updates and activity ideas to my preschoolers. So I candled today at day 10. Two air sacs are saddled (I got the eggs in the post) and one is very mottled! All have embryos growing. What do you think the chance of hatching is??

Three weeks ago I sent 16 eggs to a BYC member in another state. They arrived with similar saddled air cells. Eleven started developing and today she let me know that all 11 hatched; a couple needed assisting. Going by that I'd say you have a good chance. Number three looks the most doubtful, but the candling pictures of some of the eggs I shipped looked as bad and they made it. Good luck.

Keep your humidity at 30% or lower and then the extra fluid in the egg can "dry out" a bit. That will help it later to not drown in the watery air cells when it hatches.
