Will they always eat this much??!

My goodness!
Do Pekin ducks always cost this much to feed? We have ten. They go through food like crazy. They aren’t free-ranging yet since they’re still young but will they eat less feed once they’re no longer in an enclosure?? We have about 3 acres and a big pond where they’ll be and I’m hoping this cuts down on their consumption.

i have 5 ducks and go through a 50 pound bag of feed every 3-4 weeks, not including all the veggies and bugs they get daily. if cared for correctly they are expensive pets. mine are only two and we’ve probably spent thousands on them already
