will they fly away?

LOL, you want eggs, Let me know, I'll send you some, Right now the Showgirl & paints are the only ones laying, the Splashes have taken a break
I know I like whites and blues. I'll take a look at your site to see what the others look like. If I do end up being allowed to get Silkies, I might have questions. I gather that they're somewhat hard to look after.

Hard to look after?? NO, they tend to have more issues then your usually chicken. They most definitely should be confined because they can not fly but other then that they are GREAT. You can put any chicken in with a Silkie and they do not usually have a problem with it. They are sooooo decile..

My Frosted paint, He likes to do this circle dance whenever I go out to see him. SOOOO FUNNY... I hope he's not attracted to me. OH MAN. I already know what it's like having Love juice all over me. NO THANK YOU..

I'd like some like #71 and #106 on your site. What are those?

Many of the reviews of them I read here on BYC led me to believe they're hard to look after.

Pic 71 and 106 are my Splashes, they just started back up with the laying..They took a little break for a while, they have HIGH VAULTS. sometimes High vaults can be a good thing and sometimes it can be a BAD thing.

NO they are not hard to look after, They are pretty much the easiest, I taught mine how to climb a ladder, very unlikely for silkies to do this because some of them cant see exspecailly if they have high vaults, I had a handcapped ladder for mine but the sides fell off but since they know how to use it now doesn't seem to bother them that its not there.

They aren't hard to look after just a little challenging to care for. They tend to get sick the quickest. Such as one blow to the head can bring them down. They have there brains on the outside of there skulls so they get wry neck very easily. Even with mating the males are soooo rough on grabbing the back of there heads, this roughness can cause them damage to the brain and boom down they go, of course, with treatment they can recover. So they have little protection covering there there brains.
