I had some work done on my coop this weekend - added a window.
Since the yard is not fenced & I was not going to be home I relocated my girls to the garage for the day.
Much indignant squawking when I had to carry them from coop to garage. Repeated when I took them back to the coop - they didn't want to LEAVE the garage!!!
They were just starting to get used to being handled and now they are acting freaky if I try petting or picking them up unless they are roosting at night.
Will they get over it? Eventually?
Now for my question:
Since they are approaching 5 months I want to be ready for them to lay in the nestboxes I have ready & waiting.
Should I start putting fake eggs (golf balls) in the boxes now?
TIA for all your BYC Knowledge
