I woke up this morning, Day 20, to an adorable little chick. None of the other eggs have even pipped. I am hoping that since one did hatch, the conditions are correct. I followed all the directions to the letter. What can I or should I do? At what point to they need help? The egg colors are so dark and the shells are so thick I can not see through to candle them. Every time I check, the eggs have moved. Baby Isie is walking around and calling to his/her siblings to come on and play. I am really worried; should I be?

Its gonna be OK:D The hardest thing is the waiting. Don't open the incubator. Let the new little one dry out and maybe tomorrow there will be siblings!

I am just sick. One of my eggs was partly zipped last night. It was chirping. I left it alone and this morning it was dead. I opened the egg; it hadn't completely absorbed the egg sack. My first group of eggs, and my first loss. I don't think I will be hatching anymore eggs any time too soon. Six are happy, healthy little fuzz balls. One is dead, and five, nothing. I purchased the eggs through the mail. They were well packed, and, I guess that is as good as I can expect.

I have another dozen in another incubator. After that, I have some chicks coming in June and July. I am so discouraged right now. I don't think I am cut out for hatching eggs.
