Will they lay???

Our new girls are about 6 months old right now. 2 EE, Aulstralorp, Gold Star. Will they lay this fall / winter or wait until spring? Rule of thumb? We keep coop at 40*F. Faces are pretty red.

My 4 aussies hatched out in April (supposedly). One just started laying 2 weeks ago, and a second started today. Hopefully yours will start soon as well.
