Will they peck at electric wiring?

If I have electric cords wondering if the chickens would peck at this?
The coop room needs electric and I cant hide everything within the walls.

Aren't the electric cords covered???? I've never seen any that weren't??? So if they sample a cord, no ill should befall them. It's not like they'll be chewing on them like rats (I hope).
