Will they suffocate?

I agree, I'd kick them out, not because they are in danger but to avoid poopy eggs later. I really would move the nest box down a little, too.

Thank you all. I will block off the nest box as I can not move either, they were firmly screwed into place by DH.

Just a funny note, I went out last night to check on the "situation" and found my 3 mo. old Delaware roosting on top of the 8 mo old Red Sex link.... They seemed quite happy, but I moved them around anyway - it looked very very uncomfortable.
