you can't tell from an egg

the chick has to hatch first then in a few weeks you can tell if it's a hen or roo. It's like asking someone pregnant if they're having a girl/boy just by the bump

There's an old wives tale about sexing egg by the shape. But some friends of mine tried out this theory with 84 eggs this spring. They hatched out 50/50 roosters/pullets.

Yeah, just like that old wives tale that the gender of a baby can be determined by the shape of the baby bump
