Will this breed mix be impossible?

I had a pitbull that I left in my home with my house rabbit, he was terrific and I have had some that would chase any animal that would move. It depends on the dog, I had a rescued labrador that I could not trust with anything. I think it depends on the dog, in my opinion. Good luck in what ever you decide to do.

Sounds like a combination where the pitbull genetics would be the least of your concerns. All three breeds can have very high prey drives especially so in the case of the samoyed. Three strong willed breeds plus hybrid vigor. The risk is not worth the challenge or possible rewards. JMO

Thank you all for your input. We won't get one. I just needed some backbone from all of you because I am such a sucker for puppy breath.

We'll keep looking.

Thanks. We look at the shelters too, but just don't really find what we're looking for. Short coat, no tail and "puppy breath".

Everything around here seems to be a lab mix. It's not that I don't like labs, it's just they have huge tails and like to use them. We'll keep looking. We're in no hurry.

You could be right. All breeds havr to be introduced early. The key is to understand the breed and what the breed is used for.

If I was you i'd go for a Rough collie (they used to be used for farm work) but if you want one with a short coat and no tail then i'd go for a welsh corgi they were bred for farm work too (there are two different kinds one kind has a tail and the other dosn't).

What about Boxer X Standard poodle mix?
Just HOW strong willed are boxers?(because you mentioned that in your first post), The ones i always met were gentle sweet hearts...
*I'm getting one next week*

I love boxers. I've had 3. They are strong willed, but if you establish yourself as alpha right away, you will have an easier time. I will admit that's difficult when they are so cute and cuddly at 8 wks.

My first 2 were very dog aggressive. I tried to introduce them to other dogs as pups, but they wouldn't bend. They were mother and son and I was single. I think they just thought they needed to protect me from EVERYTHING. Now, my 3rd has been raised with a springer spaniel and he is very good with other dogs. He was a yr old when we moved to the farm and was 2 when I got my first birds. That was pretty bad and I thought he was going to be my last boxer. He was too much of a "city dog". However, when he turned 3, he just grew up. I don't know what happened, but I can leave him outside when the birds are loose and he doesn't even care. It's so nice not to have to tie him up anymore. I just love him. I'll keep having boxers, but will need to remind myself that "they will grow up", eventually...
