That can work, looks like you did rollaway style? Are the eggs just sitting loose in the back or do they fall behind/under something where they can't be dislodged? Reason I ask is because chickens scratch. Wouldn't take much for an egg to be dislodged and flung out, if they're sitting loose in the back.

Yes. It's a roll away. The board in the back has a gap (I drew a green line there) that allows the eggs to roll under that board and into the collection area that sticks out of the back wall of the run.

Nice. Well if it becomes an issue, you can very easily add a lip on later. All I did was screw a couple pieces of trim wood to the front of mine.

You just need a shelter to keep them safe and dry, I would not even have a coop either in that weather
