Hi, I've tried with things like that and the poo falls thru. It just never worked for me. Now I use a shovel that kinda looks like a snow shovel or manure shovel. 26 bucks at Lowe's

That's what my other half said too

I used to clean up every day, then on the weekends, now when I get a chance. Most I pick up is flattened out or bigger than some of their eggs

I use an emergency snow shovel to clean out the duck pen. It's the same size as a kid's snow shovel but with a longer handle.

I use a cat litter scoop that is extra large. We have a smallish coop house and I usually just do a few scoops a day from under the roost. Our coop is almost waist high too. If you have a large walk-in coop, this wouldn't be practical.

I use a child's metal leaf rake with a 3' handle. I found it on clearance at Home Depot.
The metal tines are closer together than a regular leaf rake, and the whole head is just 8" wide or so which makes it easy to reach into the corners of the coop underneath the roosting bars.
