Hey LittleGals, I'm picking up my first batch of chicks ever from Ideal next week. I'm in Liberty Hill, TX. How was your experience with Ideal? Any tips for a newbie? Looks to be about 1 1/2 hour drive for me. I hope the weather is nice so that I don't have to have the car heat on high!

I'm really not sure what to expect, or if I should take something to keep them warm for the trip.
BTW, beautiful babies.

Hey Kathy! My sister lives in Liberty Hill! Experience was great, the staff was very friendly. I'm only about 45 mins away from Cameron. I just sat them in the front seat next to me and kept the heater on low with the a couple of vents pointed in the general direction of the box. They all did great!

your chicks are very cute. when i have picked up chicks in the past i would but them in a cardboard box and if it was cool i would place a towel over the top to keep them warm. it has always worked. good luck! i am picking mine up on march 17th, can not wait!
