will wet poop be a problem in the cold?

Hi all -

we have a chick that's about four months old now and she's had wet poops for at least half her life. We've tried everything. I'm worried that the poop is going to stick to her skin in the cold and give her frostbite. (We live in Vermont.) Is this crazy? If not, what can we do to help her? We don't really have a vet up here that knows chickens that well, so far as I know.

I seem to only have problems with wet poop during hot weather. They drink extra water. Also, fruits and vegetables seem to give them the runs. It made subside during the cold weather.

Have you tried giving her (and the rest of your flock) yogurt twice a week to see if that helps the runny poop? Have you wormed them?

If this has been going on for 2 months out of 4 I'd rather try and get her 'regular' instead of worrying about frostbite.
