Hello everyone, I have some chicks that are 10 weeks old and others that are 16 weeks old. I also have 3 hens that have ruled over the chicks for since the chicks were born. I was just wondering if the chicks will start fighting the hens when they grow up? Or will they just stay lower in the pecking order. But anyways thanks for your Answers! :D.

The younger birds will stay low in the pecking order until they start to lay, then they will likely make their way higher.....there may be some fighting, there may not. Much depends on having plenty of space for all to live comfortably so subordinate birds can get far enough away from more dominate ones.

Oh Ok, thanks.
