Will younger hens take over older hens?

Hello everyone, I have some chicks that are 10 weeks old and others that are 16 weeks old. I also have 3 hens that have ruled over the chicks for since the chicks were born. I was just wondering if the chicks will start fighting the hens when they grow up? Or will they just stay lower in the pecking order. But anyways thanks for your Answers! .

It depends on your birds most likely they won't stand up but if you get a big roo he probably will

The younger birds will stay low in the pecking order until they start to lay, then they will likely make their way higher.....there may be some fighting, there may not. Much depends on having plenty of space for all to live comfortably so subordinate birds can get far enough away from more dominate ones.

Also you might find that you have two subgroups of Birds..They young ones will flock together and the older ones will be together..That could last a long time or they may join up sooner..
