"Wind Eggs"
Can get a little closer to being a real egg. I have a Jersey Giant that was dirty on the butt. Kind of slimy actually. I caugth her and she seemed to vomet when I caught in the pen. When I checked out the vent, I had a similar "tube thing coming out. I Kind of knew what it could be, because I had seen one of these "Wind eggs" lying outside a week or 2 earlier. So I, very reluctantly, Pulled it out. And sure enough while I was doing so, she vometed a little more as if in pain, but when it came out, it smelled so bad, and it was an almost formed egg. She acted so relieved and wouldn't leave my side. she followed me around and then into the coop. then she went into her nest box. I think she was happy, but still feeling in pain.

HELP!

Sounds like your hen may have had a prolapse. You might want to post for help in the emergencies section.
