I'm envious. What a beautiful set-up. And you've got some beautiful fowl too!

Only thing I might change about the name is the 'swept' part. Maybe windy hill farm, windy knoll, windy acres... just suggestions. I think someone else mentioned it too - that the swept part makes it sound barren and it's not at all. In fact it's really lush looking.

two additional thoughts.... I always say that if my dh is really set on something... and I'm not that upset by it, then I back off... I like to choose my battles carefully. The name might be really important to him... can you live with it?

YOu might want to wait and see about a name as time progresses. Sometimes names happen.

Beautiful property! One day I would like to have some land and be a little bit removed from all the craziness, but that's a ways off for me! And i was also thinking that maybe just Windy Acres would be nice.

Well, he seems to have changed his mind now that he's seen the responses. I don't know why we have to have a "name", you know? He want to have a sign made or something.

He says anyone looking for our place will say, you know, the place that sells eggs, LOL. He doesn't realize people will still say, you know, it's that farm down there on the dirt road that sells eggs.

I love the name, and your property is awesome! I have just a bit over 10 acres, but our dream is to have 50-75 and put a house smack dab in the middle! I'd be more than happy to have no visitors and live my life with my chickens, horses, donkeys, dogs, cats.....oh, and DH! Paradise!

I like the name. I finally came up with a name for ours, Rockin' H Farms. Our symbol will be an h with rockers under it.

The house is in the middle of our original acres. We just bought the neighboring acreage, and if we would have had it first, we'd be further back in!!

We had some people hunting turkeys come through, and they were mad we had moved in here. I guess we were prime deer hunting before the house was here. Too bad!!
