Window installation?

Here is a pic of a window fastened with the kreg pocket jig. You can caulk the outside. I would use vulkem caulk. https://www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/6191761/width/200/height/400[/IMG.

Here is a close up.

I was able to fasten the window between 2 studs. Here is a pic of the barn window from the outside. It is caulked to the trim boards and is stationary but easily removed. Just cut the caulk and unscrew

Oh that is perfect!! Exactly what I was looking for! Should I try to remove the current trim on the glass so or just add to it and seal it?

Leave the sash or trim around glass. Frame your opening 1/4 inch larger than your window. Install your window using the pocket jig. Caulk the window on the outside. I make my own window sills. The sill is the horizontal piece of wood below the window. The sill should have a slight slope to shed water. 6 degrees slope is about right. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Just cut a 28" x 28" hole in your coop using a circular saw. Then attach a 2" x 4" wood stud from the floor to the top sill 28" apart and a horizontal 2" x 4" connecting the studs 28" apart. Set in your window and you are good to go! You can add caulking to cut out any drafty cracks and even trim boards if you are particular about a nice finished look. Hope this helps!

It does! I just wasn't sure about the physically attaching the window to the rough in part :)
