Coop 10x10 in size
This is the possible window placement of south facing wall. Roost will be along west wall. Are the windows far enough apart? Is it ok to center window within side wall (7 ft)? Will have overhangs, soffit vents, ridge vents and all that jazz. I figure if drafts I will close one closest to roost. North wall will mimic south wall. Also thinking of putting larger window on West wall behind roost for light/winter warmth as I won’t have electricity out to this coop but can run cords if needed. Thoughts?

I like those good sized windows.

I like to build in way more windows and vents than the minimum and close as needed. My vote is to have as many windows as you can fit/afford.

My 8x14 coop has 11 and we use them all. It really helps in the summer to be able to keep them open.

Hardware cloth on the inside keeps nasties from coming in.

Thanks! 11! That’s great. I’ll plan to do window along west wall then. The windows pictured are 27” in width. I’m trying to find 2 smaller ones to go beside the front door as well

Much better to have and not need than to need and not have.

My birds argue over window seats in the summer. They must like them.

I bet they do! So awesome. I’m trying to add as much ventilation as possible. I’ve been collecting old windows for a diy greenhouse I plan to do some day so I have a stash to choose from but I’m using for guinea and chicken coop so need to choose wisely

You’re going to have a wonderful coop from the looks of it. Ima’ jealous  :bun LOL
(Stands and applauds)

I think so too! Rain is coming so trying to put walls up before it gets too heavy. I ran into my first issue.... poop board height will run into window opening. Not huge issue just will look a little funny. I put windows center so I could open them easier. So it’s either leave as is, lower poop board or higher all windows...
